PT. Mega Rubber Factory was founded in 1964, and 1983 become as one of the companies of Argo Manunggal Group. Starting from the beginning the company has produced tires for bicycles, motorbike, car, bus and truck.

In 1995, PT. Mega Rubber Factory establishing technology cooperation with COOPER-AVON, England, and have become with PT. Mega Safe Tyre Industry. In 1997 PT. Mega Safe Tyre Industry started to produce radial tires, known under the name MEGA RADIAL. Since then the superior quality of the products have been internationally recognized, among other with an achievement to accomplish ISO 9002, DOT and E-Marking.

The marketing of MEGA RADIAL products is not limited to domestic market, it is also oriented to export market. About 60% of its products have been sold to more than 50 countries in the world, among other: Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Philippines, Middle East, South America, etc. Meanwhile 40% of the products are sold in Indonesia under the trademark of MEGA.
